TOPPS, CELESTINE
A resident of Kentwood, she departed this life Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010, at 
her home. She was 84. Visiting at Sheridan Chapel AME Church, 16492 La. 441, 
Kentwood, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 17. Religious service at the 
church at 11 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Johnnie Jones. Interment 
in church cemetery. Arrangements by MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home, 
Greensburg.

TOPPS, DONELL "BULL" 
A resident and native of Greensburg, he departed this life Monday, Dec. 6,
2004, at Ochsner Hospital, Jefferson. He was 58. Visiting at Sheridan
Chapel AME Church, Greensburg, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday. Religious
service at Turner Chapel AME Church, Greensburg, the Rev. Stanley J.
Carter, pastor, at 1 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Johnnie Jones will conduct the
service. Interment in Sheridan Church Cemetery. He is survived by his wife,
Karen B. Topps; two daughters, Eldrea Knighten, Baton Rouge, and Dana
Topps, Amite; Jerome of Greensburg; mother, Celestine Topps, Greensburg; a
sister, Geraldine Robinson, Greensburg; and a brother, Floyd Topps,
Greensburg. MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home Inc., Denham Springs, is in
charge of arrangements.

TOPPS, MILDRED JACKSON 

ST. HELENA PARISH - Mildred Jackson Topps, 78, died Saturday, July 5, 
2003, at St. Helena Parish Hospital. She was a native of St. Helena 
Parish and a retired teacher of the St. Helena Parish school system. She 
is survived by three daughters, Betty Addison of Greensburg, Linda 
Bailey of New Orleans and Mary Turner-Jackson of Detroit; one sister, 
Beatrice J. Forbes; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She 
was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ruth Jackson; her husband, 
Joe Topps; six sisters, Johnnie Bea, Rutha, Earlean, Pearlen, Cora and 
Susie; and one brother, T.C. Jackson. Visitation will be Friday at Rocky 
Hill AME Church, Greensburg, from 6 to 9 p.m. The Rev. R. Hall will 
conduct the funeral Saturday at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the church 
cemetery. Angelic Funeral Home, Roseland, is in charge.
