TORSTENSON, IRMA C. 
A resident of Maurepas, she died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, at North Oaks
Medical Center in Hammond. She was 85. Visitation will be held at St.
Stephen Catholic Church, La. 22, Maurepas, on Monday, Sept. 15, beginning
at 1 p.m. The Rev. Ruben Reynolds will celebrate the Mass of Christian
Burial at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Whitehall Cemetery in
Maurepas. She is survived by two daughters, Dianne T. Bazile and husband
Wendell, and Barbara T. Poche and husband Ray, all of Maurepas; son, Wade
Torstenson and wife Linda, of Maurepas; grandchildren, great-grandchildren
and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband,
parents, two brothers and a sister. Arrangements handled under the
direction of Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales.
