She was a native of Tickfaw, homemaker and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Michael John Trahan Sr. of Houma; stepchildren, Michael J. A native and resident of Loranger, he died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. He was 62. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, He graduated from communication electronic school and served as a radio operator in heavy artillery and at Air Base Command. He also served in the military police. He was also a past national chairman of Youth Services Committee for NRECA and a past member of the Louisiana Jaycees in Baker. He was a member of Sales & Marketing Executives and a past member of the electrical board for the city of Denham Springs. He was a past president of Greenwell Springs Youth Riders and a member of the Louisiana Industrial Development Executives Association. He was also a member of the Denham Springs Kiwanis Club and a past member of the advisory committee for Florida Parish Vocational School. He was a member of the Baton Rouge Mayor's Committee on Zones and Codes and a member of the East Baton Rouge School Board Energy Conservation Task Force. He was also a member of the Louisiana Business and Industry Fiscal Reform Task Force and a past member of the LSU executive board on Energy. He was also a member of the Southern Industrial Development Council.
