He was born on Thursday, November 21, 1929 in Tickfaw. He was Owner of Tangi Exterminating for 40 years. Surviving are: wife, Rose Accomando Trapen; two daughters, Patricia Marie Trapen and Toni Jean Clemons; son-in-law, Seavy Guy Clemons; five grand- children, John Bartus, Christopher and wife Kayla Bartus, Cole Clemons, Jacy Clemons and Page Clemons; three sisters, Marie Trapen Marino, Antoinette Trapen Meyers and Josie Trapen Clark. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Theresa Trapen; sister, Mildred Trapen Cashio. Friends will be received Friday, March 28, 2008 at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Services will be held at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Tickfaw Catholic Cemetery, Tickfaw, Louisiana. He was born on Saturday, November 21, 1936, in Tickfaw, son of the late Mike and Jennie Bonfiglio Trapen. Mr. Trapen was a US Army veteran. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Judy Trapen; daughter Cynthia Trapen Lin and husband Ming J. Lin; sons Michael John Trapen, and Phillip Gasper Trapen and wife Brenda S. Trapen; 10 grandchildren, Michael, Jason, Phillip, Justin, Johnny, Chasity, Heavenli, Jade, Krystal, and Joseph; 13 great-grandchildren; brother Anthony "Tony" Trapen; sisters Virginia T. Guzzardo and Mildred T. Purcello. He is preceded in death by a grandson, Phillip Trapen Jr. Friends will be received on Saturday, October 15, 2011 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond.
