Ellen was born October 21, 1952, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to James and Lois Hoover. She was raised in New Orleans and Baton Rouge with her brother Byron Hoover and sister Patricia Hoover Dicharry. She was a 1971 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Baton Rouge and attended Louisiana State University. Ellen married Clifford John Treadaway on October 21, 1972, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Baton Rouge and together they had three children. Ellen moved to Brandon, Mississippi in October of 1987. She began her career at St. Paul's Catholic Church Learning Center in 1990. Several years later, she became Director of the Learning Center and was dedicated to her work with children throughout the rest of her life. She was a parishioner of St. Paul's Catholic Church and a lifelong fan of Louisiana State University. Her greatest joy has been her two year old grandson, Landry. She brought love, laughter and joy to everyone who met her. She is greatly missed by everyone whose life she touched. Ellen is survived by her husband of 37 years, Clifford John Treadaway of Brandon, Mississippi; her children: Christopher Michael Treadaway and wife Kimberly Toda Treadaway of Austin, Texas, Jennifer Leah Treadaway and fianc/ James Foster of Austin, Texas, and Allison Treadaway Singleterry and husband Steven Singleterry and their son Landry James of Brandon, Mississippi. Ellen is also survived by her parents James Perry Hoover and Lois Harrison Hoover of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, and her siblings Byron James Hoover of Covington, Louisiana, and Patricia Hoover Dicharry of Geismar, Louisiana. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Brandon, Mississippi, on Sunday, October 25, 2009, with visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and a service following at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, Louisiana, on Monday, October 26, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will follow at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, at 1:00 p.m. with burial following at Arnold Family Cemetery in Hammond, Louisiana.
