"Jimmie" James Robert Tricou, Jr., 64 years old of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away, Monday, October 8, 2012, at North Oaks Medical Center. He was born on Friday, August 27, 1948, in New Orleans, La., son of the late James Robert Tricou, Sr. and the late Dorothy James Tricou. Jimmie was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hammond. He was a United States Army Vietnam veteran, a former Boy Scout Master, Troop #236; and entrepreneur and inventor of the Redi-Volt energy surge protector. Surviving are his beloved wife of 42 years, Dr. Cynthia Fellom Tricou of Hammond; son, "Jarrett" James Robert Tricou, III of Hammond; brothers, Michael Tricou and wife Kay of Slidell, Milton "Mat" Tricou of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, and Carlos Tricou of Hammond; grandchildren, Erica Tricou, Kelsey Tricou, Emily Wilson, and Wylie White all of Hammond; stepmother, Joyce Bankhead of Hammond; stepbrother, Monty Lunn and wife Kathleen of Metairie; stepsister, Jana Lunn LaDew and husband Michael of Greensboro, North Carolina; uncle, Rene J.C. Tricou, Jr. of Hammond. He is also survived by numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his father James Robert Tricou, Sr. and mother Dorothy James Tricou. Friends will be received Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 11:00 am until Memorial Service begins at 12:00 pm at First United Methodist Church of Hammond, with Rev. Joe Donakey officiating.
