Anthony J. "Tre" Triola, 78, died at 6:49 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, at his home in Mount Hermon. He was a longtime principal at Mount Hermon School and supervisor of transportation with Washington Parish schools. He was member of the Mount Hermon Ruritan Club and Washington Parish Fair Rodeo Committee. He was also a retired cattleman and member of Mount Hermon Baptist Church. Survived by his wife of 50 years, Peggy Bateman Triola, Mount Hermon; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Donna Triola, Florence, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Paige and Mark Benson, Melrose, Fla.; grandson, Jacob Cole Triola; sister, Lea Herring, Independence; mother-in- law, Myrtle Lee Bateman, Dallas; sister-in-law, Paulette Burden Owens, Dallas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Eurilda Bergeron Triola; and two sisters, Mary Ann Perry and Alice King. Visitation at Crain Funeral Home chapel, Franklinton, on Friday, Sept. 17, from 4 p.m. until memorial service at 7 p.m., officiated by the Rev. Ed Jenkins. The family prefers donations to Mount Hermon Ruritan Club.
