She was 88 and a native of Tickfaw. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, on Monday, Feb. 6, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 7, from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Religious service at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Hammond, at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Interment in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery. She is survived by a son, Charles Trobona, Hammond; three brothers, Angelo Caruso, Kenner, and Frank Caruso and Lee Caruso, both of Baton Rouge; three sisters, Katie Caldorea, Tickfaw, and Josie Heard and Gracie Slevin, both of Chicago; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Trobona; daughter, Diane Trobona; parents, Mattieo and Sarah Micheli Caruso; and three sisters, Francis Mattera, Fannie Caruso and Mary Ogima. ***************************************************************************
