Prejean Joseph "P. J." Truxillo, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed peacefully to his heavenly Father on the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008. He was 79, a native of Paincourtville and a resident of Kenner. P.J. proudly served his country for two years in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean War. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 53 years, Joan Campo Truxillo; children, Theresa Truxillo Templet and her husband, Wade, of Pierre Part, Claire Truxillo Shockley and her husband, Ed, of Metairie, Daniel Truxillo Sr. and his wife, LouShea, of Harahan, Janice Truxillo Beaumont, of Kenner, and Kenneth Truxillo and his wife, Toya, of Ponchatoula; grandchildren, Tanya Templet Cavalier and husband Jeremy, Sabrina Templet Simoneaux and husband Kiley, Allen Templet, Sean Fogarty and wife Rebecca, Jonathan Fogarty, Travis Fogarty, Daniel Truxillo Jr., Troy Beaumont and wife Stephanie, Patrick Beaumont and wife Erica, and Matthew Truxillo; great-grandchildren, Mason and Owen Cavalier, Trey Simoneaux, Blaine Beaumont and Aidan Gaudet; six step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. Also survived by two sisters, Sister Francesca Truxillo, O. Carm., and Boo Oncale and her husband, Taylor. Preceded in death by his parents, Guillaume and Noemie Prejean Truxillo; four brothers, Ney, Marcel "Mike," Augustine "Gus" and Clifton "Canou;" and four sisters, Hazel Truxillo, Kate Landry, Noemie Peterson and Mary Santora. We want to thank Mom for taking good and loving care of our Dad. Visitation at the Kenner Funeral Home of L.A. Muhleisen & Son, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner, on Friday, Nov. 7, from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 500 Minor St., Kenner, on Friday at 10 a.m..
