She was 76, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Independence. Visiting at True Light Baptist Church, 3836 North St., on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 8:30 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Dennis Hebert. Interment in Durbin Cemetery, Independence. Survived by her husband, Hollis Tuggle Jr.; son, Anthony Ivan Tuggle; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sister, Melvina Banks; brother, Emile Jackson; nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her father, Frank Jennings; mother, Alma Varnado- Jennings; sister, Emily Jennings-Dillon; and sons, Hulan Turner and Frankie Turner. Pallbearers will be Melvin Jennings, Terrell Hayes, Melvin Tuggle, Marlon Brooks, Byron Buckner, Glenn Rogers and Glenn Rogers Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Ledell Banks, Bruce Leonard Dillon, Earl Wallace Dillon, Perry Taylor, Willie Tuggle, Kirkland Jackson, Hulan Washington and Dedrick Knighten.
