A native and resident of Independence, she died at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, 1999, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. She was 87. She was 85. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She was an excellent cook and had a passion for cooking for family and friends. She was a graduate of Draughn Business College. She was former owner and restauranteur of Mario's Italian Kitchen and Jody's Seafood Restaurant. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, July 13, was from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a rosary service at 5 p.m. Visiting at the funeral home on Monday, July 14, is from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Monday at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Mario A. She was 81, and a native of Brusly St. Martin. She was the retired co-owner, along with her husband, Frank Vaccaro, of Delmont Restaurant in Baton Rouge. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Sunday, March 30, was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation continues at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Zachary on Monday, March 31, from 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Jeffery Bayhi. There will be a recitation of the holy rosary at 9:15 a.m. Interment will be in Colonial Cemetery in Independence, following a graveside service at 1 p.m. She is survived by her daughter, Vanessa Vince and her husband, Joey Vince, of Ethel; two sons, Craig Vaccaro and his wife, Luanne, of St. Francisville, and Frank Vaccaro, of Plaquemine; a sister, Gerry Coupel, of Brusly St. Martin; a sister-in-law, Annie Vaccaro, of Independence; and four grandchildren, A.J. Vaccaro, Marisa Lees, Chris Vaccaro and Seth Vaccaro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Vaccaro Sr.; her infant daughter, Tamra; her son, Brett Vaccaro; her parents, Andre and Odile Hebert; her sisters, Edna Ingolia, Esther Mollere, Florence Theriot, Olive Kerek, Lanny Schatzle, Ella Marroy, Beatrice Kerek and Blanch Landry; and by her brothers, Lawrence Hebert and Raymond Hebert.
