(MONK) DIED: March 27, 1969 Galliano- Religious services for Arnold N. (Monk) Valega are scheduled at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano. The 73-year old native and resident of Galliano died at 11:53 a.m. Thursday. Visiting hours will be at the Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano after 10 a.m. today. Burial will be in the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Larose. He is survived by a son, Elmer Valega of Hammond, proprietor of the Auto Clinic. Other survivors include his widow, Stella Ogeron; a daughter, Mrs. Walter Eymard; a brother,Guy Valega; two sisters, Mrs. P.K. Buell and Mrs. R.J. Meyers; and four grandchildren. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Advocate (Baton Rouge) on: 6/20/2002 VALEGA, PAMELLA COURVILLE Pamella Courville Valega, was age 86, a resident of Hammond Nursing Home and a former resident of Springfield, Baton Rouge and Acadia Parish. She was born on Sept. 11, 1915, in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Valega is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James L. and Ann Seale Valega of Hammond; and her granddaughter and husband, Melanie and Kevin Sharp of Covington. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Felicia Courville; her first husband, Homer Kent; her second husband, Elmo R. Valega; and a sister, Della Courville Terrebonne. Visitation will be at Geisler Funeral Home in Hammond, Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. A religious service will be held at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Albany, Thursday, at 10:30 a.m. Burial in church cemetery.
