He was a native of Youngsville, La., and retired from Texaco Oil Co. He was also a self-employed independent petroleum engineer. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp. veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Herman Vallot; three sons, Timothy John Vallot of Maiden, N.C.; Bernard Herman Vallot of Memphis, Tenn.; and Frank Thomas Vallot of Ponchatoula; one daughter, Leah V. Lieberman of Dearborn, Michigan; and one sister, Claudette Bonin of St. Martinsville; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Claude Edward and Lea Comeaux Vallot; and one son, Clifford Reginald Vallot. The Rev. James Collins will conduct a funeral Saturday at Mays Chapel United Methodist Church, Maiden, with military rites by Maiden American Legion Post 240. Goodin-Drum Funeral Home, Maiden, N.C., is in charge.
