She was 67. Visitation was at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Thursday, Nov. 3, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation in the funeral home chapel on Friday from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Mack Strange. Burial in Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery in Walker. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tami V. and Kenneth Robinson of Denham Springs; two sons and daughters-in-law, Buster and Tammie VanOsdell and Charles and Wendy VanOsdell, all of Denham Springs; sister, Linda G. Brown of Amite; five brothers, Paul Gabel and Warren "Red" Gabel, both of Denham Springs, Cecil Gabel of California, Robert Gabel of Denham Springs and Carroll Gabel of Dutchtown; and seven grandchildren, Jordan, Timothy, Joshua, Sidney, Samuel and Landon VanOsdell and Anne-Marie Robinson, and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward James VanOsdell Sr.; parents, Earnest Paul Gabel Sr. and Grace V. Grantham Gabel; and brother, Charles "Doodle" Gabel.
