She was a retired librarian from Ponchatoula High School. Gladys was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Ponchatoula. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert G. and Maude C. Van Vrancken, a brother, Charles L. VanVrancken, and sister-in-law, Neva OšNeal Van Vrancken. Surving are a nephew Robert W. "Bobby" Van Vrancken and wife, Betty Picou Van Vrancken; their two sons Charles J. and Thomas O. Van Vrancken all of Ponchatoula. Family and friends will be received on Friday, November 30, 2007 at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula after 9:00 am until the religious service in the funeral home chapel at 11:30 am. Interment will follow in the Wetmore Cemetery. She was 95 and a retired educator with the Tangipahoa Parish School System. She is survived by a son, Robert W. Van Vrancken; two grandsons, Charles and Thomas Van Vrancken; and eight great-grandchildren, all of Ponchatoula. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Van Vrancken; two sisters, Gussie O'Neal Miles and Minnie Lee O'Neal Barrett; and two brothers, Percy O'Neal and John H. O'Neal. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 8:30 a.m. Wednesday until funeral at noon, with the Rev. Jake Roudkouski officiating. Burial in Wetmore Cemetery. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ponchatoula. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Ponchatoula or to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, P.O.
