VANZANT, AMELIA  

KILLIAN - Amelia Vanzant, 83, died Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at her daughter's home 
in Killian. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Rose of Sharon, Chapter 22 
of Albany. She is survived by two daughters, Odessa B. Brooks of Killian, and Wilma 
Mitchell of Hammond; and two sons, Nevail Mitchell of Kansas City, Mo., and Leroy 
Dotey of New Orleans. Visitation will be Friday at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Killian, 
from 5 p.m. until the funeral at 8. The Rev. Robert Smith will conduct the service. 
Dismissal will be Saturday at 11 a.m., and burial will be in the church cemetery. MJR 
Friendly Service Funeral Home, Denham Springs, is in charge.
