VARNELL, CHRISTINE BRADY  

ALBANY - Christine Brady Varnell, 86, died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at North Oaks 
Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born on the family homestead in Liberty, Miss., she 
was a retired clothier and a small dog breeder in Florida before moving to Albany in 
1989. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Zane Crosby LaCroix of Hammond; a sister, 
Lora Emma Dunn of Liberty, Miss.; two grandchildren, two great-grandsons and one 
great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband. The funeral 
was Friday at Brown's Funeral Home, Liberty, Miss., and burial was in Terrell Cemetery 
in Liberty. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a local Humane Society 
in her name.
