VELEN, NAOMI K.
Kentwood -- Naomi K. Velen, 85, died at her home Monday, Nov. 8, 2004.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Kentwood.  She is survived by her
son, Richie Velen of Kentwood; two grandchildren and one grandchild.  She
was preceded in death by her husband, John Velen; one son, Jackie Velen;
and her parents, Frank and Melinda Kliesch.  Visitation will be Wednesday
at Hartman Funeral Home, McComb, Miss., from 12:30 p.m. until the Rev.
Milton Kliesch conducts the funeral at 3.  Burial will be at Osyka
Cemetery, Osyka, Miss.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the
Alzheimers Association National Office, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17,
Chicago, IL 60601.

VELEN, RICHIE FRANK
Richie Frank Velen died Saturday, June 30, 2007, at Our Lady of the Lake
Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. He was 60, a native of Greenlaw and
a resident of Kentwood. Mr. Velen was a correctional officer at Dixon
Correctional Institute in Jackson. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home,
Kentwood, on Monday, July 2, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 
8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Milton
Kleisch. Interment in Osyka Cemetery, Osyka, Miss. He is survived by his
daughter, Holly V. Travis and her husband, Joey, Kentwood; son, Kenneth F.
Velen, Kentwood; and a grandchild, Colton Terrell, Kentwood. He was
preceded in death by his parents, John E. Velen and Naomi K. Velen; and
