VILLAR, HENRY JOSEPH
Henry Joseph Villar, 76, died on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, at his home in
Hammond. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean
War and then retired from Kaiser Aluminum. Visiting at Ascension Funeral
Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, on Wednesday, Sept. 24, from 5 p.m.
to 9 p.m. Visiting at the funeral home chapel on Thursday from 9 a.m. until
funeral service at 11 a.m., conducted by Wayne Mack, pastor, Burial in Lake
Cemetery. Survived by his wife, Jeannette Newman Villar; daughters, Hope
Weatherford and Lynette Rodriguez; six sisters and five brothers-in-law,
Shirley Jones, Betty and Bernard Gautreau, Leona and Gerald Vicknair, Joann
and Jerry Loupe, Margaret and Bernard Gautreau and Cherryl and Thomas
Schexnaydre; five grandchildren, Colby Villar, Micah Pene, Trevor Pene and
Amanda and Kaitlyn Ward; and 10 nieces and nine nephews. Preceded in death
by his son, Mark Villar; parents, Earl and Daisy Salassi Villar; and
sister, Peggy Villar Thompson. Pallbearers will be Colby, Micah, Trevor,

VILLAR, OLIVE BROUSSARD
A native of Doyle and a resident of Denham Springs, she passed away at 
9:20 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008, in Amite. She was 81 and a member of
Northside Baptist Church. Visitation at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs,
on Friday, was Sept. 5, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes at the
funeral home on Saturday from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Burial in
Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery. Survived by her son, Keith Pickett and
wife Kim; daughter, Mary Kay Pickett LeCoq and husband Phillip D.; 
11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Athena Morris and
husband Carl; brother, Vivian Broussard and wife Mary; and daughters-
in-law, Patricia Waymire and Connie Waymire. Preceded in death by her
husbands, William Preston Waymire, Clarence Joseph Pickett and Vince
Villar; parents, Norman J. and Julia Etta Watts Broussard; two sons, James
E. and Wayne P. Waymire; three brothers, Luster, Charles and Alton
Broussard. Pallbearers will be Jamy and Justin Pickett, Daniel LeCoq, Blake
Waymire, Eric Meyers and Lee Rogers. In lieu of flowers, the family
requests memorial donations be made to St. Joseph Hospice, 8923 Bluebonnet
Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70810.
