VINING-FRANK, LEOLA 

NEW ORLEANS - Leola Vining-Frank, 76, died Monday, March 24, 2003, at New 
Orleans Lutheran Home. She was a native of Amite and attended Amite Colored 
High School. She was a longtime resident of New Orleans, a retired ice 
cream packer for K&B Drugstore, a former member of the Eastern Star and a 
member of Pentecost Baptist Church, where she served on the Deaconess 
Board. She is survived by her stepmother, Ida Vining of New Orleans; and 
three brothers, Johnny Vining of Westwego, Isaiah Vining Sr. of Avondale 
and Joseph Vining of New Orleans. She was preceded in death by her husband, 
James Frank Sr.; her parents, Hattie Hayes Vining and Leon Vining Sr.; two 
brothers, Leon Percy Vining Jr. and Eddie Lee Vining Sr.; two sisters, Mary 
Lee Vining and Rosie Vining Duplessis. Visitation will be Saturday at 
Pentecost Baptist Church, 1510 Harrison Ave., from 8 a.m. until the funeral 
at 10. Burial will follow in Providence Park. Estelle J. Wilson Funeral 
Home, New Orleans, is in charge.
