He was a native New Orleanian, relocating to Hammond, Louisiana in 1949, graduating from Hammond High in 1952, and subsequently entering the Army. His Army career as a Military Intelligence Office spanned more than 42 years. He is survived by his wife, Angela, of Brooksville, Florida; four sons, Benedict E. Voivedich, Jr. of Houston, Texas; Ronald Voivedich of Gonzales, Louisiana; Richard Voivedich of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Michael Voivedich of Bonita Springs, Florida; two daughters, Susan Voivedich of Fort Myers Beach, Florida and Cristin Voivedich Morgan of Norwalk, Connecticut; and nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. ***************************************************************************
