He was born Wednesday, Jan. 24, 1923, in Amite, son of the late Anthony and Maria Cavaretta Vullo. Mr. Vullo owned and operated Leon's Shoe Store in Amite for more than 35 years. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Santa Tantillo Vullo; three sisters, Josie V. Sagnibene, Pamela V. Girgenti and Marie V. Giardina; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Joseph Vullo; five sisters, Rose Cacciatore, Laura Sagnibene, Susie Spera, Mamie Vullo and Antoinette Carter. He was a member of the American Legion 573, Moose Lodge 2179 and Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 3892 and the Command Sergeant Major Association. He attended the Catholic Church. He is survived by his son, John Vullo; a daughter, Erica Rubbicco, both of Copperas Cove; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Josephine Giardina Vullo.
