WADDELL, JANICE GRIZZLE 
Janice Grizzle Waddell, 73, of Ponchatoula, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005, at
North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. She was born Jan. 15, 1932, in Rupert,
W.Va., the daughter of the late Seldon and Pearl Rasnick Grizzle. Surviving
are her daughter, Melissa Faye Waddell of Ponchatoula; three sons, Gregg
Waddell and Donald Waddell, both of Ponchatoula, and Geary "Jud" Waddell of
Baptist; two sisters, Helen Artist of Sun City, Calif., and Patty Byrd of
San Bernardino, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She
was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Clyde Waddell; three sisters,
Effie Altizer, Evla Griffith and Letha "Boots" Grossl; and a brother, Dewey
Grizzle. Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home,
Ponchatoula, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, and after 8 a.m.
Thursday. Religious service at the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Thursday,
with the Rev. Roy Burton and the Rev. Eric Holleyman officiating. Interment
in Wetmore Cemetery, Ponchatoula.
