WALTERS, CYNTHIA ANN 
Age 46 and loved by her family and friends, Cynthia passed away Thursday,
May 3, 2007 at her residence in Ponchatoula.  She is survived by her
mother, Ruthie Fortner; sister, Ruth Loraine Gros and brother, Donald K.
Gordon, Sr., all of Ponchatoula.  She was preceded in death by her daddy,
Lloyd Fortner.  Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial
Service, Sunday, May 6 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of
Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, west of Hammond.

WALTERS, JOAN KAY
Joan Kay Walters, 50 years old of Hammond, La., passed away Friday, March 
30, 2012, in Hammond.  Joan was born on Thursday, April 6, 1961, in 
Madison, W.V.  Surviving are daughter and her fiance, Lottie Walters and 
Donnie Jarrell, son & daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Heather Walters, 
grandchildren, Alrena Jarrell, Kayla Klein, Whitney Vickery, Hannah 
Walters, Gracie and Alissa Campbell.  She is preceded in death by her 
mother Delores Grass Walters, twin sister, Joyce Walters Still, grandchild,

WALTERS, ROSEMARY THOMPSON
Rosemary Thompson Walters, 92, and a native of Independence, passed away at
her residence in Baton Rouge on Monday, July 27, 2009. She was
affectionately known to her family as "Nanny." Visitation at Greenoaks
Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 29, from 1 p.m. until service at 4 p.m.
Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. The Rev. Huey Moak will be presiding
over the services. Rosemary is survived by her son, Jerry Walters and his
fiancˇe, Janet Keller Welsh; granddaughter, Danielle Watson and husband
Bryce Watson; grandsons, James Walters III and Ronnie Walters; great-
granddaughters, Reese Watson and Hana Walters; great-grandsons, Tyler
Watson, Jake Walters and Taylor Walters; and daughter-in-law, Jimmie Sue
Walters. Preceded in death by her husband, James Walters Sr.; son, James
Walters Jr.; and grandsons, Randal and Timothy Walters. Pallbearers will be
Jerry Walters, Joe Majors, J.D. King, Bryce Watson, Jim Walters and Ronnie
Walters. She was a member of Foster Road Baptist Church.

WALTERS, ROSS
Springfield - Ross Walters, 87, died Sunday, July 1, 2001, of natural causes at 
North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was a native of Laurel, Miss. He was self 
employed after working for more than 30 years and retiring from Billups 
Petroleum. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He is survived by 
two daughters, Kathi Walters of Springfield and Nona Stilley of Albany; and two 
sons, Dale Walters of Laurel, Miss., and Bobby Walters of Biloxi, Miss. A 
private family memorial will be held at a later date in Laurel, Miss.

WALTERS, WILLIAM H. "BILLY"
A resident of Hammond, he died Saturday morning, Dec. 11, 1999, at North Oaks 
Medical Center, Hammond. He was 56 and a native of Baton Rouge. Graveside 
services at Roselawn Memorial Park at 1 p.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. 
Ron Tyndall. Survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Harlyn Crowe, 
Baton Rouge. Preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Inez Walters. He was of 
the Baptist faith. His family wishes to express sincere thanks to all of the 
numerous caregivers at Hammond Developmental Center for their kindness and

arrangements.
