Interment was in Greenlawn cemetery. Mrs. Wannamaker, the former Catherine Dowd, had been a resident of Hammond for more than 50 years. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Joseph Gariepy of Flint, Mich.; two grandsons, Emerson and George Wannamaker, both of Hammond. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Vindicator: 2/17/1950 WANNAMAKER, LUCY ARBUTHNOT Funeral services for Mrs. T. M. Wannamaker, the former Miss Lucy Arbuthnot, who died Friday at the Wiginton Infirmary, were held Sunday from the Thomas Funeral Home. Interment was in Greenlawn cemetery. Mrs. Wannamaker was a member of a widely known pioneer family of this section. Her husband served for many years as chief deputy sheriff and was later in the postal service. He preceded her in death in 1935. She had been a resident of Hammond for more than 40 years, moving here from Tickfaw shortly after her marriage. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Stanley Arbuthnot of Manifest, a Methodist minister who preached in Hammond many years ago. Mrs. Wannamaker was a member of the First Baptist church of Hammond. She and her 92 year old mother-in-law, Mrs. George Wannamaker, made their home on North Pine Street. She is survived by two sons, Emerson Wannamaker of New Orleans and George Wannamaker of Hammond; three sisters, Mrs. G. W. Nesom of Tickfaw, Mrs. J. J. Brew of Lincoln, Nebr., and Miss Tom Arbuthnot of Alexandria; one brother, Viers Arbuthnot of Manifest; and by four grand- children. ***************************************************************************
