She was 90, born on Monday, April 23, 1917, in Albany, the daughter of the late George William Cunningham and Mary Jane Addison Cunningham. She was a retired administrative assistant for Bell South. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Gaynell and Tom Whiting; granddaughter, Deborah Lamphear; grandson, Kyle Whiting and his wife, Mary; great-grandson, Logan Whiting and his wife, Caroline; great-grandchild, Cali Lamphear; sister, Bea Monday; and brother, Walter Cunningham. Preceded in death by her husband, Duncan J. Warnock; six brothers, Wallace, Brady, George, H.R., Elmore and Homer Cunningham; and two sisters, Mary Stewart and Alice Loftis. Relatives and friends will be received at Greenlawn Cemetery, corner of Pecan Street and Western Avenue, Hammond, on Thursday, April 3, from 9:45 a.m. until graveside service at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Psalm 23:1. After a life well lived and a mother's job well done, Naomi accepted her eternal reward and reunited with the "love of her life," Ross, on Sunday, May 24, 2009. Born in Amite City on Nov. 6, 1918, she is survived by two daughters, Olivia Sue Warnock and Phyllis Warnock Wells and her husband, Thomas Jeffery Wells; a son, Michael David Warnock; a daughter-in-law, Denise Ortlieb Warnock; four grandchildren, Dawn Hancock, Leah Gallagher, Matthew Wells and Sarah Warnock; five great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Juliana and Clayton Hancock, and Christina and Gregory Gallagher; and special family friend, Tracy McLeod. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Ross Warnock; parents, Leonard and Olivia Schlaudecker; and a grandson, Jonathan Wells. Naomi was a charter member of Foster Road Baptist Church. Throughout her life, she shared a loving and giving spirit, easy laughter and deep wisdom with all who knew her. Our lives have been richer for the blessing of her presence.
