A longtime resident of Baton Rouge, he was born in Hammond on Feb. 15, 1924. He is survived by his daughters, Malloy Warren Liner and husband Dr. Jeff Liner, of Hammond, Kay Warren Thayer and husband Chris Thayer, of Houston, June Warren, of Yukon, Okla., and Mary Craig Warren. He is also survived by grandchildren, Malloy Ryan Peterson and husband Robert, Brady Ryan Rumph and husband David, and Quin Ryan, all of Atlanta. Other grandchildren include Warren Thayer and Wright Thayer, both of Houston. Step-grandchildren include Allyson Liner and Zachary Liner, both of Hammond. Great-grandchildren are Trey and Brant Peterson and Carter and David Rumph, all of Atlanta. He is also survived by his close friend, Martha Yancey. Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Malloy Wright Warren; and his parents, Hazel Carr Warren and Robert Edmund Warren. Bob graduated from Hammond High School and LSU, where he received degrees in business administration and accounting, and a MS in management and marketing. During World War II, Bob served his country as a pilot in the Army Air Corps, during which he flew 43 combat missions in twin-engine A-26 aircraft in the European Theater. He received numerous medals for this service. Bob served as president of Globe Storage Co. for many years during which he served as president of the National Furniture Warehouse Association and as treasurer and board member of Allied Van Lines. He was also president of Accent Furniture Rentals and was deputy commissioner of Louisiana Division of Administration. Additionally Bob was the chairman of the Deferred Compensation Fund. He was active in the community serving on numerous boards, such as Boy Scouts, Chamber of Commerce, Traffic Club, Consumer Credit Counseling and many more. Bob was a longtime member of the Rotary Club of Baton Rouge, Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Kappa Sigma Fraternity and Baton Rouge Country Club.
