She is survived by 10 daughters, Melvina Meyers of Los Angeles, Barbara Badon, Georgia Rainey, Marcia Watts and Amelia Watts, all of Abita Springs; Deloris Buckley and Gabriella Prim, both of Deridder, Christine White of Sulphur, Gwendolyn Chavis of Moss Bluff and Terri Richardson of Tampa, Fla.; four sons, Dudley Cole Watts Sr. of Opelousas, Toye E. Watts of Martinez, Ga., Joseph Watts Sr. of Los Angeles and Leonard Watts Sr. of Lumberton, Miss.; three sisters, Rita Mae Clark, Mary Lee Edwards and Leatha Mae Hollins, all of Covington; 43 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be Friday at New Hope Baptist Church in Abita Springs from 6 to 9 p.m. Ronnie London will conduct the funeral Saturday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Abita Springs Cemetery. He passed from this mortal life at 8 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2011, at his home surrounded by his children. He was born June 23, 1930, in Independence. Graveside services were held at Old Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Albany, conducted by Elder Stephen Cutler. He is survived by a daughter, Jeanne Watts DeLaune, Baton Rouge; two sons, Thomas A. Watts Jr., Warner Robins, Ga., and Stephen Craig Watts, Walker; eight grandchildren, Julie M. DeLaune Lillie, Cassie L. DeLaune, Thomas A. Watts III, Ashley N. Watts, Stephanie B. Watts, Connor R. Watts, Garrett M. Watts and Cassidy N. Pocorello; and great-granddaughter, Alyssa K. Lillie. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife and eternal companion, Ramona Clara Martin Watts; his parents, Marlon Alonzo Watts and Jessie Virginia Jones Watts; a daughter, Virginia Allene Watts; and two sisters, Gloria Melrose Watts and Jessie Virginia June Watts. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Denham Springs Second Ward. Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs were in charge of the funeral arrangements.
