White, 73, died at home west of Springfield Thursday. His grandfather, George Washington White, came to Livingston parish and married Miss Melissa Spiller of near Holden. Their only child, George Washington White, Jr., married Miss Elizabeth Kinchen. From this union were born three boys and seven girls. Preston, the second son, was born 1857. Mr. White married Miss Mary A. Glasscock of Livingston parish on 1 Mar 1882. They reared six children; one daughter preceded Preston in death.
