He was born on Wednesday, July 22, 1964, in Hammond, son of the late Robert Bernett Whitehead and the late Barbara Lamb Whitehead. Surviving are brothers, Malcom Whitehead, and Marion Whitehead, niece, Kalen Prine, step- mother, Bonnie Poole Whitehead and numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Rev. Norman retired from the Baton Rouge Fire Department where he was assigned to many stations with the last station being 19A8. Motorcycle riding, fishing and cooking "benefit" dinners were things he enjoyed doing with his family and friends. Norman was a wonderful husband and was devoted to his parents, children and grandchildren. At age 59 and a lifelong resident of Holden, he passed away Saturday, May 18, 2008, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. Some of his accomplishments were serving in the U.S. Army and membership with the American Legion, the Shriners and Albany Masonic Lodge No. 466. He is survived by his wonderful wife, Linda Whitehead; parents, Norman Sr. and Erma Stoetzner Whitehead; son and daughter-in-law, Josh Norman and Tracy Whitehead, along with Mike Schenk and wife Deana, and Mark Schenk and wife Amanda; and Mack Schenk. He will be sadly missed by his six grandchildren, Ariel Whitehead, Shelby "Stella," Lathan "TeeBoo," Brett, Paige and Delaina. He leaves many memories with his siblings, Joyce Farber and Thomas, David and Red Whitehead. He was born Nov. 24, 1943, in Ponchatoula, son of the late Rev. Robert H. Whitehead and Irene Dunaway Whitehead. Mr. Whitehead was employed for 31 years in the plastics industry as a chemist for Ethyl Corp. and later for Georgia Gulf Corp. Surviving are his wife, Bonnie P. Whitehead; son, Michael Bernett Whitehead; sons, Malcolm Brett Whitehead and Marion Brian Whitehead; grandchild, Kalen Ann Prine; and nieces, Regina Bazile and Jonell Hinton. He was preceded in death by a sister, Bobbie Nell Faller.
