WHITFIELD, EMEAL
A truck driver and resident of BatonRouge, he passed away at 2:45 p.m. 
Friday, April 19, 2013, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. He was 50 
and a native of Independence. Visiting at Promised Land Baptist Church on 
Friday, April 26, from 11 a.m. until services at 1 p.m., conducted by the 
Rev. Anna Phillips. Interment in Lane Cemetery, Ethel. Survived by his 
wife, Gaynell H. Whitfield; daughter, Juanita White; and stepson, Brandon 
Hives. Preceded in death by his mother, father, sister, brother, and a host 
of other family members. Arrangements with Carney & Mackey Funeral Home, 
1576 Robin St., (225) 774-0390.
