She was a native of New Orleans. She is survived by three daughters, Barbara W. Dickson and Cynthia W. Boudreaux, both of Independence, and Pamela W. Catalanello of New Orleans; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.C. Whitley; and one grandchild. The funeral was today with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Metairie. An attorney and a resident of Hammond, he died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, at his home. He was 64 and a native of New Orleans. He served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army Intelligence Corps in Korea. Arrangements are pending for a private funeral service. Friends may call at the Whitley home, 304 W. Charles St., Hammond, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday. Survived by his mother, Frances Campbell Whitley, Hammond; and a sister, Anne Whitley Cooper. Preceded in death by his father, Tilghman Norwood Whitley Sr. He was a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University and the LSU Law School, where he was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon. He was also a member of the 21st Judicial District Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
