He was born on Monday, January 13, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri, son of the late John Wilkins and Lorene Liestman Wilkins. He was a retired Software Engineer. Surviving are 2 sons, Richard and Glenn Wilkins; and a daughter, Heather Wilkins Lounsbury; and his best friend, Louis Nicolosi and family. Friends will be received at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2009. Services will be held at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. She was the beloved wife of Charles R. Wilkins, mother of Michael Wilkins, Susan Wilkins, Robert Wilkins and spouse Gloria and Jennifer Baethke and spouse Andy, grandmother of Tori, Maggie and Emily, and sister of George Bass Jr. and spouse Pat, Mildred B. Spence and spouse Lowell, Shirley B. Ellzey and spouse Ben and the late Billie Jean Bass. She was 69, a native of Amite, a resident of Folsom for the past 13 years and a former resident of Baton Rouge. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial service on Monday, Nov. 28, at 7 p.m. at Red Bluff Baptist Church, 15204 La. 1078, Folsom.
