He was a retired truck driver and a native of St. Pauls, N.C. Survivors include two daughters, Lori and Deborah Willoughby, Tickfaw; two sons, Donald Willoughby, Tickfaw, Mark Willoughby, Hammond; two sisters, Doris Hill, Red Springs, N.C., Zilla Brown, Parkton, N.C.; two brothers, Grady Willoughby, Monroe, N.C., Calvin Willoughby, Bladenboro, N.C.; and six grandchildren. His parents, William Grady and Gussie Hannah Willoughby; four brothers, Duncan, Dennis, Henry & Alex Willoughby; and sister, Maude Abbott, preceded him in death. A graveside service will be held Saturday at New Hollywood Cemetery, Lumberton, N.C. She was 91, born Sept. 9, 1911, in Tangipahoa Parish. She was the daughter of Henry Eugene Coney and Essie Ackers Coney. She was a homemaker and a former elementary school teacher at Johnston Station School. She was a graduate of Co-Lin Junior College, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Johnston Station Homemakers Club. She was a longtime member of Felder's United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon Leigh Willoughby; a brother, Henry Lecher Coney; and two sisters, Marion Miller and June Kinabrew. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Claude Gordon Willoughby and Becky of Summit; a daughter and son-in-law, Martha Gene May and Randolph of Baton Rouge; six grandchildren, Gary May of Baton Rouge, Lisa McGuire and her husband, Tom, of Milton, Fla., Martha Abraham of Lafayette, Gordon Willoughby and his wife, Dr. Tamra Willoughby, of Auburn, Maine, Leigh Willoughby of Pensacola, Fla., and Dr. Paul Willoughby and his wife, Linda, of Rock Hill, S.C.; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation at Catchings Funeral Home, McComb, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday. Funeral service at the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Charles Brister officiating.
