WILTHEW, CAROL ELICK
Age 63 and a longtime resident of Hammond, Carol passed away on Thursday, 
March 15, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a loving 
wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed dearly. 
Carol was a member of the Hammond Seventh-Day Adventist Church.  Carol 
leaves behind her husband of 37 years, Bernie Wilthew; daughters, 
Jennifer Tilyou and husband Neil, Amy Forrest and husband Jack, along with 
one granddaughter, Gloria Tilyou. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy 
Prine, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Carol was preceded in death 
by her parents, Wilmer and Gloria Beck Elick.  Relatives and friends of the 
family are invited to attend the funeral service from the chapel of Brandon 
G. Thompson Funeral Home of Hammond on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. 
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Sunday, March 18, 
2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 9:00 a.m. 
until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. The services will be officiated by 
Pastor John Taylor and interment will follow in Vineyard Cemetery in
