She was a native of Montpelier. She is survived by her four sons, Willie Wheeler Sr. of Dennis Mills, William Wheeler Jr. of Kentwood, Lawrenceen Wheeler Sr. of Baton Rouge and Bruce Wheeler of Fernwood, Miss.; four daughters, Janice Brooks, Sandra Zanders and Shelia Brooks, all of Montpelier, and Zenobia Williams of Dennis Mills; two sisters, Laura Knighten of Hammond and Della Garrison of Amite; and one brother, Larnceen Woolridge of Mansfield; 30 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Woolridge; her mother, Seleanor Woolridge; and three sisters, Rose and Mary Brown and Irene Lee. Visitation will be Friday at Richardson Funeral Home, Amite, from 5 to 9 p.m. The Rev. Kermit Brown will conduct the funeral Saturday at Morgan Chapel AME Church at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Montpelier. ******************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Daily Star on: 3/21/2002 WOOLRIDGE, ETHEL New Orleans - Ethel "Momma Snook" Woolridge, 70, died Sunday, March 17, 2002, at Ochsner Hospital, New Orleans. She was a native of Greensburg, and a homemaker. She is survived by three sons, James Woolridge of Independence, Jimmy Woolridge of New Orleans and Jeffery Woolridge of Amite; two daughters, Joyce Jackson of New Orleans and Carol Brumfield Jackson of Marrero; two sisters, Ella Self Griffen of Greensburg and Minnie P. Self Carol of Avondale; three brothers, Eddie, Bob and Clyde Self, all of Greensburg; and 11 grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday at New Hope Full Gospel Church, Greensburg, from 9 a.m. until the Rev. Larry Story conducts the funeral at 11. Burial will be in Self Cemetery, Greensburg.
