WYRE, EMILY
Kentwood - Emily Wyre, 88, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002, at Lakeview Regional 
Medical Center. She is survived by one son, Conrad Wyre Jr. of New Orleans; four 
daughters, Beatrice Wyre Brumfield, Helen Wyre Robinson, both of Kentwood, Louise 
Wyre Winters and Norma W. Norah; 41 grandchildren; 93 great-grandchildren and 33 
great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Ada Jones; 
her father, Charlie Jones; one son, Charles Edward Wyre; and one daughter, Ola 
Mae Wyre Burton.  Visitation will be Saturday at Sweethome Baptist Church, 
Kentwood, from 9 until the Rev. Lee Allen Pounds conducts the funeral at 11 a.m. 
Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Richardson Funeral Home, Amite, is in 
charge.

WYRE, LAWRENCE
A resident of Kentwood, he departed this life on Monday, Aug. 17, 2009, at
North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was 71. Visiting at Spring Creek
Missionary Baptist Church, Kentwood, on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 10 a.m.
until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Elton Strickland.
Interment in the church cemetery. Survived by his wife, Mary Wyre, of
Kentwood. Arrangements by MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home Inc.,
Greensburg.

WYRE, WILLIE MAE
Bogalusa - Willie Mae Wyre, 84, died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2001, at Slidell 
Memorial Hospital. She was a school crossing guard for 27 years. Survivors 
include two daughters, Burnadean Wyre Warren and Cynthia Wyre Hunter; two sons, 
Bertran Wyre Jr. and Arthell Wyre; five sisters, Effie Lee Gilmore, Christine 
Brown, Ada Wyre, Cora S. Cooper and Idella Gibson; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-
grandchildren.  Visitation will be today from 3 to 6 p.m. at Crain and Son 
Funeral Home, 809 E. Third St., Bogalusa. The funeral will be at 8 p.m. at 
Metropolitan Baptist Church, and burial will be in Duffy Cemetery.
