She was a native of Head of Island. She is survived by 11 daughters, Dora Harris, Elnora Quiet, Margie Hawkins, Georgonia Jackson and Toni Jackson, all of Baton Rouge, Barbara Thomas and Helen Raven, both of Head of Island, Lillie Davis of Killian, Daisy Norman of Springfield, and Jessie Hart and BettyHart, both of Albany; five sons, Lester Youngblood Jr., Elgene Youngblood and James Youngblood, all of Head of Island, and John and Henry Youngblood, both of Baton Rouge; one sister, Ruth Hampton of Baton Rouge; 55 grandchildren, 91 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Youngblood Sr.; her parents, Lee and Louise Martin; one son, one daughter, five grandchildren, five sisters and four brothers. Visitation will be Friday at Second Zion Baptist Church, Head of Island, from 6 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be Saturday at noon, followed by burial in Goodwill Cemetery. Marilynn attended elementary school and graduated from Greensville Park High School. She earned a Bachelor of Music Degree and a Masters of Music Theory from Southeastern Louisiana University. She studied at the Son Vonne and the Catholic Institute in Paris, France. Her Master of Divinity Degree was earned at Andrews University in Barrion Springs, MI. She is survived by two brothers, Manley Alvin Youngblood and Ian Marvyn Youngblood. She is preceded in death by her parents, Manley and Queenie Youngblood.
