LIVINGSTON - Ovede C. Zeigler, 79, died Monday, May 19, 2003, at Our Lady of The Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. He was a native of Livingston Parish, a U.S. Army World War II and Korean War veteran. He was also a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, Bayou Barbary, a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign War Post 7017, Charter member of the Tickfaw Hunting Club, board member of the 444 Hunting Club and member of Painters Local 728. He is survived by his wife, Vengie Lee Zeigler of Livingston; one daughter, Patricia Carley of Baton Rouge; one son, Andrew Zeigler of New Orleans; one brother, Ansel Zeigler of Livingston; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Colyear Zeigler; his mother, Wilma Zeigler; an infant daughter; five brothers, Kenneth, Horace, John R., Berlin and Van Zeigler; and one sister, Lemona Zeigler. Jeff Pardue will conduct the funeral today at 3:30 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church, Bayou Barbary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, is in charge.
