Wilbur Carroll, who has held the position since October, 1927. There were quite a number of children born during the past year whose parents have not registered their birth and it would be well for them to do so as birth records prove very valuable to some people during their lives. Mr. Carroll will register every birth free of charge and urges all parents to drop by his office in the City Hall and record same. No two children born during 1938 were given the same name as is usually the case. The name of Robert, Mary, Joseph, John and Margaret are always so popular that nearly every year from three to six children are given these names. The most unusual names of the year were Aufemia Apuzzo, Congeta Palermo and Antioneet Puma. The following is a complete list of babies born in this vicinity during 1938 and whose parents had their births recorded with Registrar Carroll: Angelo Joseph Schillage, Lou Ann Monroe, Ernest Thomas Erdos, Gladys Gay Rhodes, Inez Virginia Pilling, Jean Gordon Meyers, Brandt Frederick Gumpert, Guy Puma III, Glenda Anne Stockstill, Mealvin Jean Starkey, Shirley Marie Robinson, Mary Margaret Allen, Sarah Cataldo, Marie Christine Gugliuzza, Landry J.
