Be it remembered, that on this day to wit:  the twenty-fifth of April 
in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety One and 
the One Hundred and Fifteenth of the independence of the United States 
of America, before me, S.R. Olliphant, M.D., President Board of Health 
and Ex-Officio Recorder of Births, Deaths and Marriages, in and for the 
Parish and City of New Orleans, personally appeared, GILBERT DOMINGUEZ, 
native of this city, residing at No. 81 Louisiana Avenue in this city 
who hereby declares, that on the eighth day of January of this present 
year (8 Jan 1891) at his residence was born a female child, named LENA 
DOMINGUEZ (white), lawful issue of deponent and a  native of this city 
aged 24 years, occupation laborer and MAGGIE KRONER a native of this 
city, aged 22 years.  

Thus done at New Orleans, in the presence of the aforesaid G. DOMINGUEZ 
as also in that of Messrs. T. H. LANARAGE and A.A. VERLIES both of this 
City witnesses, by me requested so to be, who have hereunto set their 
hands, together with me, after due reading hereof, the day, month and 
year first above written.

Transcriber's notes:  The mother of Lena Dominguez was MARGARET GRONER 
DOMINGUEZ, 1869-1917.  Margaret is buried in Ponchatoula Cemetery 
beside her husband, GILBERT DOMINGUEZ 1868-1917, Ponchatoula, Tangipahoa 
Parish, Louisiana.  Lena's full first name was HELENA and she married 
Dennis Pope McLaughlin in 1908.   Helena died in 1953 and is buried in 
Ponchatoula Cemetery beside her husband Gilbert.
