Albritain Drake and his father were both Officers in the Revolutionary Army. The Magruders, originally McGregors, emigrated to Maryland from Scotland during the reign of William & Mary. The Millers descend from a minister of the Scottish Kings, who fled from the persecutions of Clovenhouse and settled in South Carolina. The Henderson were of English origin, came from South Carolina to Mississippi at an early day. Susan Priscilla Hawkins Magruder, only daughter of James G. and Elizabeth A. Magruder, nee Magruder was born at Mount Ararat, Jefferson County, Miss., April 2nd, 1811. James Miller was born in Jefferson county, Miss., January 20th, 1795, and son of Robt. & Sarah Miller, (nee Cole). Franklin Oliver Adams, Sr., was born in Adams County, Miss, September 26, 1846 Catherine S. Miller, daughter of Jacob and Sarah Moser, (nee Henderson) was born in Adams Co., Miss Dec. 31st, 1808 H. Winbourne Drake, son of B.W. and L.P.H. Drake was born Aug. 22, 1828 Lissie J. Miller, daughter of J. and C.S.A. Miller, was born June 21st on Pine Ridge in Jefferson County, Miss James Miller Drake, oldest son of H.W. and E.J. Drake, was born in Waterproof, La., Aug. 25, 1853. Baptized in infancy by Rev. B.M. Drake, D.D. Susan Hawkins Magruder Drake, daughter of H.W. & E.J. Drake was born at Waterproof, La., Sept., 13th, 1857. Baptized in infancy by Rev. Dr. Drake Benjamin Michael Drake, second son of H.W. & E.J. Drake was born Aug. 3rd, 1860. Baptized in infancy by Bishop Early. Catherine Emma Ruth, second daughter of H.W. & E.J. James Miller Drake died in Bienville Parish, La., of Diptheria, on the 6th of August 1864 Benjamin M. Drake, Jr., died in Bienville Parish of Diptheria on the 15th of August 1864 H.W. Drake died in Waterproof, La., of Pneumonia on the 6th of Oct- ober 1876 C.S.A. Miller died in Waterproof, La., of Pneumonia on the 13th of March 1878 Freeland M. Drake died in Waterproof, La., of congestions, on the 21st of August 1881 Susan P.H. Drake died at Shubuta, Miss., of Catarrhal Bronchitis, April 11th, 1892 E.M.
