Funeral services for John L. Bass, 69, of Newellton were held Sunday, Feb. 
15, 2015, at Magnolia Baptist Church in Newellton. Burial followed in the 
church cemetery, under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home.
Mr. Bass died Feb. 6, 2015, at River Regions Medical Center in Vicksburg, 
Miss.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Bass; son, LaMonte Bass; daughters: 
Susan A. Gray and Tanisha J. Bass; brother, Calvin Bass; sister, Betty 
Bailey; God-sister, Aletha Carter; five grandchildren; and a host of other 
relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Freddie Allen, Christopher Bailey, Rodrick Bailey, Ambrose 
Bass Jr., Nolan Bass Jr., and Sebastian Bass.
