Gladys Plummer Doyle

Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Plummer Doyle, age 97,
were held on March 24, 2001. Internment was in the Legion Memorial 
Cemetery in Newellton.

Mrs. Doyle died March 21, 2001 in the Olive Branch Nursing
Home in Tallulah, Louisiana.

Mrs. Doyle was a native of Scott County, Arkansas, and had been a 
resident of Newellton since 1935.

Mrs. Doyle was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Doyle;
two children, Clyde Dean Doyle and Edna Doyle Gunter, and
also by three grandsons, five brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Doyle is survived by four sons and daughters in law;
James and Bea Doyle of Newellton, Bobby and Betty Lou Doyle
of Newellton, Louie and Jimmie R. Doyle of Newellton, Ronald
and Carolyn Doyle of Jackson, Mississippi. Two daughters and
sons in law:Betty Sue and Don Pilkinton of Bossier City, Louisiana,
and Peggy and Roger Waddill of  St. Francisville, Louisiana; and one 
daughter in law, Betty W. Doyle of Jonesville, La. She is also
survived by two brothers, one sister, seventeen grandchildren,
36 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
