Officiating was Reverend Junior Avey. Interment was in Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton under the direction of Crouch Funeral Home of Mountain View. Officiating was Reverend Fred Fulton, Methodist Church of Tallulah. Mr. Gentry died on Friday, August 18, 2000 of a heart attack. He was born in Newellton on December 29, 1929. He was a retired cattleman and farmer. He served eight years as President of Stone County Saddle Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Austin Gentry, Sr. and Cora Leigh Marlow Gentry and an infant son, Kendall Wade Gentry. Mr. Gentry is survived by his wife. Sue Gentry of Mountain View, Arkansas; one son, Fred Austin Gentry, III of Mountain View, Arkansas; three daughters, Kay Piediscaizi of Timbo Arkansas, Cindy Partee of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Judy Passmore of Mountain View; one step-daughter, Judy Perkins of Cabot, Arkansas; four sisters, Martha Gentry of Natchez, Mississippi, Lela Wiggins of Vidalia, Gwen (Lady) Tindell of St. Joseph, and Mary Ann Netterville of Tallulah; a niece, Lynn Thompson of Tallulah; a nephew, Johnny Smith of Newellton; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
