JAMES AUBREY GEORGE

   James Aubrey George, 83, of St. Joseph died February 7, 2003 at 
Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro. Graveside services were held 
at Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton on February 9, 2003 with 
interment following.

   Mr. George was born August 17, 1920 in Perryville, Arkansas, but 
was a long time resident of Tensas Parish.

   Preceding him in death was his wife, Alta Stewart George; his 
parents Ezra and Pearl George; one brother and three sisters.

   Survivors are three daughters, Norma George Ray and Helene George 
Packwood of St. Joseph and Clara George Cowan of Denham Springs; one 
granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.
