James "Jimmy" Ancel  Kitchen, Sr.

   Funeral services for Mr. James "Jimmy" Ancel Kitchen, Sr., 
89, were held Monday March24, 2003 at Comer Funeral Home 
Chapel.  Interment was in Legion Memorial Cemetery in 
Newellton.
   Mr. Kitchens was born March 15, 1914 in Edgar Spring, 
Missouri and died March 22, 2003 in Vicksburg, Mississippi.  
He was a veteran of World War II and the Tensas Parish Clerk 
of Court for 44 years.
   Mr. Kitchen was preceded in death by his parents, James 
Edward and Nancy Evans Kitchen and his wife, Elsie Coor Kitchen.
   He is survived by two sons James A. Kitchen, Jr. of Baton 
Rouge and John C. Kitchen; and  four grandchildren.
