EULA NEWMAN MAPLES

   Funeral services for Mrs. Eula Maples, 47, of St. Joseph were 
held at Young's Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday on January 13, 2003.  
Interment was in Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton.

   Mrs. Maples died January 11, 2003 at Franklin Medical Center 
in Winnsboro.

   Mrs. Maples was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Robert 
Newman; her sister, Mary Ann McLeod; and one brother, James "Jimmy" 
Newman.

   She is survived by her husband, Joe of St. Joseph; her son, Joey 
Maples of Longview, Texas; one brother, Robert Newman of St. Joseph; 
her grandmother, Nan Black of Vicksburg, Mississippi and one grandson.
