Marguerite Evelyn Metcalf

      Funeral services for Marguerite 
Metcalf, 77, of Waterproof were held at 
Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday on 
April 24, 2004.  Interment was at 
Monclova Cemetery in Waterproof.  Mrs. 
Metcalf died April 22, 2004 at Rapides 
General Medical Center in Alexandria.

      She was preceded in death by her 
father, Henry George Hartzog; her 
mother, Carrie Viola Chance Hartzog; a 
daughter, Dolores M. Mize; three 
infants, seven brothers and three 
sisters.

     Surviving are her husband, Henry 
Kavanall Metcalf of Waterproof; a 
sister, Ollie H. Rabb of Waterproof; 
six daughters, Bobbie Skipper of Sicily 
Island, Martha Sanderson of Waterproof, 
Beverly Rushing of Monterey, Elaine 
Sell of Oak Grove, Pauline Ross of Oak 
Grove, Marguerite Carlson of Jackson, 
Mississippi; two sons, Henry Metcalf, 
Jr. of Monterey and Charles Metcalf of 
Monterey; eighteen grandchildren, 
seventeen great grandchildren and four 
great great grandchildren.
