     The Reverend Kelly Barnett officiated at the funeral service for
Daniel Mize which was held on Tuesday, January 11, 2000 at Young's
Funeral Home in Ferriday. Interment was a Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation was held the night before at Young's from 5-9pm.
     Mr. Mize died in Waterproof on January 9, 2000 at home.
     Mr. Mize a native of Waterproof, was born on September 26, 1972 in
Natchez, Mississippi. He was a farmer in Tensas Parish and a member of 
the Baptist faith.
     He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Curtis and
Mamie Burnette.
     He is survived by his mother, Patricia Burnette Mize, of Waterproof
father and stepmother, Robert and Becky Mize of Waterproof, grandmother,
Maxine Mize, brothers Sgt. Timothy Mize and Aaron Crawford of Water-
proof, sister Robin Mize of Vidalia, La. and niece and nephew, Patrice
and Joshua Cowan of Vidalia, La.
     Serving the family as pallbearers were Keith Smith, Jamie Lancaster
Ricky Matthews, Jacob Herrington, Kevin Craft, Bennett Rogers. Serving
as honorary pallbearers were, Arthur Peters, Ben Blackmon, and Toby
McIntosh.
